neoX is looking for a skilled Technician - Cable Jointer to carry out jointing, termination, installation, testing and maintenance of 11kV medium-voltage underground cables. The work must be done safely, to a high standard and in line with Oman’s distribution network requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform jointing, splicing and termination of 11kV MV power cables and accessories
• Support cable installation, replacement, fault finding and repair works
• Inspect and test cables, joints and terminations using calibrated equipment
• Follow SHEQ, permit-to-work, LOTO and safe excavation procedures
• Read electrical drawings, cable route plans and jointing diagrams
• Prepare daily work reports and keep accurate test and inspection records
• Support EV charger installation and other electrical works when needed

Requirements

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a relevant technical or vocational qualification
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in MV cable jointing and termination
• Cable jointing certification from Raychem, Elastimold or Nexans
• Good knowledge of cable accessories, electrical testing and network safety requirements
• Good command of English
• Preferred: experience on 11kV distribution networks and a valid NAMA Electrical Installation & Testing license
